Sinead O'Connor ~ Nothing Compares 2 U
So cover versions is the theme this week for 4M's theme, chosen by Steve from bethere2day.com, and this is one of the best cover versions ever released. Originally recorded by Prince for one of his side projects (The Family), the single was covered and released by Irish songstress Sinead O'Connor in 1990. It went to number 1 in 17 charts across the world, and went on to become the 2nd biggest selling single in 1990. It's taken from her album "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got". Other singles released by Sinead include "Mandinka", "The Emperor's New Clothes", "Success Has Made A Failure Of Our Home" & "Thank You For Hearing Me"

She's really very pretty as far as I'm concerned. I agree it's definitely her iconic song. Thanks for sharing, and I just wondering where did everyone get that this week was a cover theme? Did you see that on my blog? I think I remember someone suggesting that, but I'm drawing a blank. Last week was summer songs theme, so this week is a FREEBIE. Did I mess up? So sorry, but this is cool anyway! THANKS FOR JOININ' US!
ReplyDeleteI think Steve from Bethere2day suggested a "covers" week.
