Haddaway, who is a Trinidad-German singer had a worldwide smash hit from 1993 with this debut song. It reached number 1 in 11 countries including Austria, Finland, Italy & France. The song reached number 2 here in the UK and number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. It's taken from his debut album "Haddaway". Other songs released by Haddaway include "Life", "I Miss You", "Rock My Heart" & "Fly Away".

ReplyDeleteI didn't know this dude from Germany. I sure can't tell it when he sings. I think I vaguely remember this song from the early 90s, but this falls into that black hole in my memory years. I was a mom of two small children, expecting our 3rd, and started homeschooling our oldest. Thanks for hitting the dance floor with us on Monday's Music Moves Me!
