Music Monday ~ Underworld

Born Slippy

Formed in 1980 in Cardiff, Wales, Underworld rocketed into the UK Charts with this single. It's taken from their album "Second Toughest In The Infants" & also on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Recording to the film "Trainspotting". The single reached number 2 here in the UK and is known world-wide as a rave classic (and in my opinion it still is a classic). The band have released 48 singles so far to date with only a few of them to reach the UK Top 40. Other songs to be released by the band include "Pearl's Girl", "Push Upstairs", "Jumbo", "Cowgirl", "Two Months Off" & the theme to the London 2012 Olympics "Caliban's Dream".

  2. We must get different tunes from across the planet. I'm not familiar with this song or the movie it comes from. Interesting filming effects.

  3. Totally new-to-me, but that's part of the MM fun to get an education of those unknown sounds. Great to share the dance floor with you this morning, my friend!

  5. The sound takes me right back to the 90's with raves, indie scenes and hot summer's! Trainspotting was a cracking film - haven't seen it in yonks - hard to believe it's that old!
