This is the signature hit from R & B brothers Attrell & Jarrett Cordes who hail from the USA. They took a sample from Spandau Ballet's Number 1 smash hit "True", and created the emphatic "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss". The single reached number 1 in the USA, Canada & New Zealand charts as well as the top 10 in Australia, The Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom & Switzerland. Other singles released by P.M. Dawn include "Looking Through Patient Eyes", "Reality Used To Be A Friend Of Mine", "I'd Die Without You" & "More Than Likely" which was a duet with Culture Club's lead singer Boy George.

Cool layout on your blog! This is a new mix for me, as well.
No new MM post for me this week, as I'm still on the mend, but I thought I'd dance on over to see what songs are playing in my lovelies heads this week. Thanks for continuing to boogie with the 4M crew, my friend. Be safe & well!
I'm gonna have this in my head for rest of the day now LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a good week Ian

It's bugging me that I can't remember what movie used this song. Probably more than one because it's a great one!

ReplyDeleteRocket Man is A Space Odyssey and fought in Star Wars right through The Hunger Games because he’s a Space Cowboy
Nice song and tune. It sounds like an 80s song too. You said it was part of a Boy George song too? Sounds nice. It is so different.
